About This Spot

Stepping into The Diplomat Junior feels like uncovering a quiet gem nestled in the heart of Glendora’s downtown. It’s a place that moves at an easy, welcoming pace, one where the hum of friendly conversation blends with the subtle, inviting aromas of spices and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere strikes a thoughtful balance between warm familiarity and a touch of the unexpected, inviting diners to settle in and savor not just a meal but a comforting gathering.

This restaurant carries the heart of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern traditions while embracing the joys of sharing across generations. Whether you’re drawn by the rich complexity of a smoky filet kebab or the bright, fresh notes of a garden salad tossed just so, the experience feels both grounded and vibrant. The kitchen’s care is evident — from creamy, garlicky sauces that invite a second dip to the tender, spice-kissed lamb chops that linger delightfully on the palate.

There’s an understated generosity here, the kind that trickles down from the thoughtful menu to the attentive, steady service. It’s easy to imagine families carving out moments together, or longtime neighbors slipping in for a peaceful dinner enriched by warm smiles and quiet attentiveness. Whether you linger over a strong Armenian coffee or a cold brew, the space encourages slowing down just enough to appreciate flavors and company in equal measure.

The flavors on offer feel rooted yet accessible, making it a place where vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers can all find something to delight in—and where the simplest ingredients come alive, from freshly baked naan to crisp, herb-studded grape leaves. Every visit holds the promise of discovering a new favorite bite or a familiar comfort revisited with fresh eyes.

It’s been a long time since I was downtown Glendora. I'm impressed with the changes. The Diplomat is a real treasure and adds much needed diversity and a delightful modern menu to downtown. Can’t go wrong with a full bar and friendly, fun hosts! We will be back again and again. Thank you Diplomat Junior.

Our service was *phenomenal*. The staff never let our tea glasses even get to the halfway point! The only reason the food received 4/5 is it just had a very lemon heavy flavoring. It really was phenomenal food with outstanding service though! We can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

This is the best place you could find with a good price and unimaginable food! I highly recommend trying the garlic sauce. If you want a peaceful and dreamy dinner, then The Diplomat Junior with be your favorite!

This is a fantastic spot right on the heart of Glendora's downtown. The food is super fresh and absolutely delicious! The grilled pepper that came with my Beef Kebab was a really great addition - loved it! Some of our favorites were: Beef Fillet Kebab Vegetarian Appetizer Sampler Baba-Ghanouj Moroccan Eggplant All the Soups

Really enjoyed this place. Was recommended to try from our family. I only wish they would have a closer location towards the Inland Empire. While searching it seems like there is another location, but for some reason there is a Junior to this location, would love to know why that name is added here. Anyways the two people working were so nice and helpful. We wanted to sit outside, so they ended up turning on two heat lamps so that we wouldn’t be cold. The food came out fast, and the first thing that came was the hummus and pita bread we ordered, which kept us from being hungry but was really good. Keep note that some of the other dishes have pita bread so you could use those to continue to eat with the hummus. The hummus is not included in the other plates. I recommend the 2 combo, it was huge ! It had a nice pepper, some sort of sausage that was called lulu on the menu, chicken and beef, and rice. Even the rice was very flavorful. The other two things I would recommend is the lamb chops and the Beef Shawarma Fries. The Lamb chops were full of flavor and not gamey at all. The fries were crispy and the beef had a different marinade, that went really well with the fries. Overall had an amazing experience and would definitely come back again if I was in the area. Like I said I wished there was good Mediterranean food towards the inland Empire like this place. Until next time.

I had the chance to eat here a few times. I gotta say the food here was phenomenal. Tha flavor is on point. The owner Gor was a really cool dude. If you live or find yourself in the city of Glendora, I highly recommend eating here. By the way they have a full bar as well as all the popular games from MLB to NFL. Go check it out guys trust me you won't be disappointed.

Super nice staff, really attentive to their customers! However, they really need to step up their game on the chicken kabob. The rice was some of the best Mediterranean for sure. Also you get a pepper which is cool. I also liked the option for cans instead of foundation drinks. Really nice ambiance and cool feeling to the place.
